Kendall's Nest

As a busy working mom I am far from posting pictures from Kendall's arrival.  However, here are a peak of our baby girl's new nest!!!  I splurged on the tree but it really adds something soooooo special to her room.  She's been sleeping in her crib for about a month now and every morning when I get her up for the day, she is smiling and laughing at the tree on the wall.  I think she likes it!

Holidays 2010

I'm adding this post a bit late but I thought it would be nice to have our official holiday card picture posted!!! We tried two different times to take a nice, matching picture and neither attempts worked. This picture was taken when we went to visit Santa with cousin Jack at the Blackhawk shopping center. Hudson actually sat on Santa's lap without wiggin' out...thanks cousin Jack for helping him be brave!!!!! After the boys saw Santa we all took a few pictures by the duck pond on a very cute bench...and so we finally got a good family shot!!!!!

Mama is preggo, preggo, preggo!!!!


27 weeks and counting!!!!! Baby girl girl will soon be making her grand enterance into this world and we have sooooooooo much work to do with the nursery!!!! This project will hopefully soon be tackled......stay tuned for pictures and more updates!!!!!

Happy Fall.....or should I say happy early winter!!!! The past few weeks have been sooooo super cold around here in the bay but they have been filled with warm happy memories for the Beard family!!! Exactly one week ago our little Huddy Bear turned ONE YEAR OLD!!!!! I truly can't believe it, the past year has absolutely flown by. I guess you really don't understand when people tell you to enjoy every single minute with your baby because it goes so fast....when you finally have children in your life, it really does go soooo fast. Before we know it he will be off to kindergarten, then elementary school, middle school, high school and then college!!!!! It makes me sad thinking about it!

To celebrate his birthday we had a small, Elmo themed family party at my parents house in Danville. All of Huddy's favorite peeps were there.....mommy, daddy, amma, pappa, grandma Peggy, auntie Yaya, uncle Noah, Jack, great aunt Carol and great uncle Brian, Gianna, uncle Greg, auntie Whitney, uncle Steve, Addison and Brady. His special guests were his great grandparents from Seattle!!!!! The party was so much fun...H was in a great mood and he was so excited when we all started singing happy birthday. The cake smashing was priceless! At first he wasn't sure what to do with the huge piece I put on his highchair tray but very quickly he figured out to just drive into it!!!!!! Soooooo stinkin' cute!

At one year old Hudson weighs about 19 pounds and is about 28 inches tall. He started walking just before his actual birthday and now one week later he's practically running!!!!! H is a very happy, fun loving one year old. He loves being "in the action" and never wants to miss a thing! He's a very gentle, kind old soul and I just can't get enough of his cuddles and love!!!!!! We love this kiddo sooo much:) Happy birthday my little dude!

Where has the past six months gone??

With the upcoming holiday weekend, it's hard to believe May is almost over! Even more unbelievable...our little man is six months old!!!!! Yikes, how did that happen and where has the time gone? I think about where Kyle and I were a year ago and it's crazy, so much has changed...for the better. Hudson makes his daddy and me smile everyday. We can't imagine life without him and when we see his huge toothless smile or hear his squeals of pure bliss....we realize how blessed we are!

I think Hudman is teething. The drool at the Beard household is unreal! I was reading some parenting checklist the other night about how you can tell if you've entered the teething stages and Hudson pretty much fit All the criteria.....buckets of drool, swollen gums, puts fists or anything he can in his mouth, slightly fussier than normal, tired and even a low grade fever!

Even with experiencing the pain of teething, our little guy is still pretty happy and easy going through the day. Hudson recently discovered how fun his jumperoo is! Today he was in it for 30 minutes and jumping the whole time with a huge smile on his sweet little face. So darn cute...love that boy!

I go back to work tonight for four nights so I just hope he doesn't decide to switch gears for daddy and become some terror! I don't think it's in his nature but I guess you never know. Good thing mommy is just sleeping upstairs if he needs.....

Hudson turned 4 months on the 22nd of March and that meant oatmeal cereal time!!! A lot of people have strong opinions about starting solids before six months but it all comes down to how each child may or may not be ready. Let me tell you... our little dude was sooooooo ready for something other than milk in a bottle. Just before he turned 4 months, Kyle and I noticed him staring very intently at us whenever we ate...I think he was trying to tell us something. So just after the 22nd, we introduced oatmeal cereal and he loved it.....so chatty after he ate, I had to get it on video!
